selby J'von. . .this guy has a sick rap style. His play on words and emphasis on certain words gets catchy. Plus he does fluid transitions on the beats to change the flow. Talented dude is what I'm trying to say. Favorite track: soda can.

JALENKWRIGHT Don't judge this 'potato' based on it's skin because J'Von is at his best when we listen. Judging by the cover anyone could see that inspiration is drawn from Pendleton Ward but by bumping "gummi bears" we can hear that J'Von is also influenced by MF DOOM. Far from sounding like a potato chip off of Tyler, the Creator's 'Wolf', J'Von's "mini quest" is a stroll down memory lane; and while most of the EP is spent reminiscing J'Von remains forever present on tracks in almost every imaginable facet. Favorite track: lil' dirt puppy.

about

potato, the mini quest ep:

returning from the immobility of "no motions" catm-i mean, j'von, is back on an adventure through the times once lived, along with a couple of friends whom which we aren't really sure exist outside of his head.

from more gloomy songs to hopeful notions, we are back on the road to finding our way back to 'empty planet', as j'von rhymes over his own sounds, shaped according to his own liking, in addition to animating his own visual for this adventure.
